Scientific calculators that use ordinary algebraic entry, where you type the sum as you'd write it. The one we cover is TI's solar TI-30 SLR+, a 1987 restyling of the TI-30 SLR, TI's first solar scientific. It has no battery and no program memory, so there's little to go wrong, but three different TI-30 SLR models share the name and get mixed up in listings. It isn't programmable and isn't on the CFA or SOA exam lists.
